Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal, Feb 24, 1910 (died Feb 16th)

Mr. & Mrs. Will Keller desire to express their thanks and gratitude to the friends and neighbors for the many deeds of kindness tendered them during the death of the latter's father, Mr. Rutherford. His was one where death in all its gloom and sadness to the family was a beautiful one to the chosen. Having lived 5 more years than the time allotted for man, he lay down at the end of life's journey like a tired traveler, without a pain, without a struggle, closed his eyes in sleep in the home of a loving, devoted and watchful daughter, to awaken with the loving companion who had preceded him to a home where there is no parting. While he perhaps did not achieve greatness nor did he achieve fame and wealth, but when his death was heralded broadcast to his friends and acquaintances it was murmured on their lips, "He was a good old man," could more leave such a legacy? - typed by kbz
